At our Exhibition in 2019, we celebrate our 30th anniversary, and hope you will come and see what we have been working on! And if you would like to see some of your work on display, then do join us in our mini quilt (A4) challenge. This competition is open to anyone. The quilts will be hung at our exhibition, and there will be Visitors’ Choice and Judges’ Choice prizes.
The theme is ‘Celebration’ but that can be interpreted as you like – perhaps pearls, or anniversaries, or just celebrating the fun we have as Quilters, whether that is sewing, laughing or eating cake together!
The rules are simple: A4 size, portrait or landscape, composed of 3 layers, using any technique. It must have a 2″ sleeve on the back and have a label with your contact details.
The quilts must be with us by Wednesday 21st August, and there is a £2 entry charge to cover the return of your quilt. They can be given to any member of Leominster Quilters or posted to:
Alyson Wells, Lower Hope Lodge, Ullingswick, Hereford, HR1 3JF
Any queries, contact Mary Cook firstname.lastname@example.org
The exhibition itself runs from Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September, 10:00 till 16:00 each day. As well as lots of quilts and other textile arts to admire, there will be refreshments to tempt you, sales tables and traders. This year we are joined by Sadie Yeomans from Corner Cottage Crafts, and Jane Davies, Textile Artist.
And if you would like to make a day (or longer!) of your visit, there are lots of local attractions to tempt you. Amongst them are:
