Maggie’s Mini Workshop – 20th November

Appliqued Snowman Cushion or quilt block or bag panel

Despite the dreadful weather 12 intrepid members braved the conditions and met for the evening. Whilst some members worked on their individual projects others took part in Maggie’s mini workshop and had great fun making a Snowman block that could be turned into a cushion, bag or other item of their choice.  Thank you Maggie for running a well prepared, fun workshop. Let’s hope the weather is better for the next meeting.

4 November – Sit and Sew and Mini Workshop – No Sew Bauble

Owing to the cancellation of the last meeting due to the inclement weather and flooding it was lovely to see so many new and old members attending this evening.

Kate had brought along several samples of her No Sew Bauble and gave detailed instructions how members could make one of their own. Members then began cutting and folding fabric which was then pinned to the polystyrene balls that Kate had supplied. It was interesting to see the variety of fabrics being used, some members had chosen to make a traditional Christmas themed bauble whilst others planned to make a bauble for a different occasion.

Our thanks go to Kate helping and guiding us with this mini workshop and making it a very pleasant and cheerful evening.
