The final meeting of the year was the annual Christmas Social, a time to relax, have fun and enjoy the refreshments brought to share.
The evening started with members puzzling over two quizzes. Then chairs were formed in a circle to play a game. Each member had brought either a novelty bauble or a pretty one and the object of the game was to try and steal from each other a bauble that you would like to take home. This elicited much laughter and cunning until everyone had a new bauble. After all the laughter and excitement of the game we enjoyed the delicious refreshments, accompanied with mulled wine, tea or coffee.
Thank you Kate for organising the quizzes and Carol for organising the Bauble game. Thanks also go to all members for the delicious refreshments. What a lovely way to end the year. All that was left was to wish each other a Happy Christmas and look forward to meeting again in 2025 for another year of productive sewing.
