The evening started with a great deal of activity with Yvonne and her daughter from Village Fabrics busy setting up their stall at one end of the hall and getting ready to give their talk whilst at the other end members were handing in quilts for the forthcoming Exhibition.
Once everyone was settled Yvonne and her daughter were welcomed and we were treated to an intriguing talk and a wonderful display of beautiful quilts. With the aid of her quilts Yvonne demonstrated how, by using fabrics of different colours and patterns, the appearance of a quilt was completely changed, even when the same design had been used. It was easy to see Yvonne’s great love of Japanese fabric and designs from all the wonderful quilts she had displayed. Thanks were expressed to Yvonne and her daughter for a thoroughly interesting evening.
Thanks once again go to the ladies who supplied us with tea and coffee at the end of the evening.
