Sewing Happily Since 1989
On the 15th May 2024, 10 members joined Jenny O’Leary’s workshop at Monkland Village Hall, and had a really good fun day messing about with paints, fabric & dyes to create their own version of a batik seedhead. Great fun was had by all, as can be seen from the smiles in the pics! Other members then joined for a sit and sew in the afternoon, working on their own projects.

3rd August 2023 – a coach trip to the Festival of Quilts at the NEC.

21st June 2023 – we had an interesting talk from Rebecca Harrison about her life in the costume and TV world.

Deborah Jarman kindly hosted our spring social at her home in Great Wacton, Bredenbury. It was a “bring and share” event with members providing lots of lovely savoury and sweet items of food to share. It was a pleasant evening so we were able to sit outside to chat and eat until it cooled down and we moved inside for tea/coffee. Thank you to Deborah for hosting the event.
